What if dancing on cow dung could heal a community?

At Kufunda that's not a metaphor — it's a n actual practice. We dance barefoot on cow manure as part of a biodynamic soil preparation. Within 20 minutes, something in the smell actually changes. The material transforms. I've come to see it as a picture of the inner work too. You don't put the hard stuff aside. You work it. You stay with it. And slowly, something shifts.
This is the question that has driven 24 years at Kufunda: what does it actually take to create healthy, vibrant community? The honest answer is — we're still learning.
There have been moments of real beauty, and hard ones too — the kind that ask you to go deeper than inspiration alone can carry you. What I keep finding is that the inner and the outer belong together. Movement, embodiment, returning to the body — these aren't peripheral to the healing work. They run through most of it.
In this conversation with Kosha Joubert on the What is Collective Healing podcast, I share what this journey has looked like — the shadow and the light, dancing as a portal to the future, and what it means to slowly remember our shared dignity.
I hope something here resonates.

The audio is a little rough in places — we hope you'll stay with it anyway.
