01:
Support the village
Become a Sahwira
In Shona, a Sahwira is a deep friend — someone who helps hold the hearth, keep the fire burning, and nourish the shared pot that sustains village life. Our Circle of Friends is a weaving of people who choose to stand with us each month, offering whatever they can to help keep Kufunda strong. No contribution is too small — each one helps fill the Hari.
We use Patreon as our gathering place. It’s one of the few platforms that reliably allows monthly support to reach Zimbabwe. As a Sahwira, you’ll receive simple offerings from the village — short videos, photos, voice notes, and small reflections to keep you connected to the rhythms of Kufunda life.

Organisational Partnership
02:
bring your team
We help organisations navigate complexity, strengthen participation, deepen ownership and move from conversation to collective action.
For over 21 years, Kufunda has worked with NGOs, civil society organisations, government bodies, and international networks — hosting multi-stakeholder processes, leadership immersions, and community dialogues that move people and produce real change.
We don't offer off-the-shelf training. We design processes together, drawing on participatory methodologies, Art of Hosting practices, and the living wisdom of the village itself.

Learn with Maaianne
21 years of living what we teach
04:
Kufunda was born from a dream — and built through decades of practice, failure, learning, and deep community life. Maaianne's journey holds wisdom that cannot be found in any curriculum.
If you are a leader, practitioner, or changemaker who wants to go deeper — into participatory leadership, community building, or the inner work of holding a living organisation — this is an invitation to reflect, inquire and learn together from over two decades of living this work.
Offerings include one-to-one conversations and accompaniment, small leadership circles, and immersive founder residencies.
