International learning villAGE GATHERING
In Shona, there is a saying: "It takes a community to raise a child." This is Ubuntu—the recognition that we become fully ourselves only through each other.
We warmly invite you to the intergenerational Learning Village Gathering to step into an experience of community that is alive and deeply human. Together we will explore the gift of the African Hearth.
This gathering is a celebration of the simplicity of life and of the possibility of meeting with our individual gifts in community.

A Medicine journey through dance, breath and voice, to revitalise your soul connection and resource your life, held in the magical place that is Kufunda Village.
This weekend is for you if you want to bring healing, aliveness and expression to your body, heart and voice.

KUFUNDA YOUTH Conference
What if the future is waiting for us—together?
This August 2026, young people from the global South and North will gather at Kufunda Village for two weeks of slowing down, laughing, learning, and exploring what it means to belong to one another in these times.
We will ask:
What is our place in the world right now?
What is the future asking of us?
And how might we live into our role with courage, care, and imagination?
Held by the rhythm of village life, we’ll share meals, stories, and song; play and create; listen to the land and to each other. In the embrace of Kufunda, we’ll discover what becomes possible when we meet across cultures in community—as part of the same unfolding story.

To Speak from the Stars
This gathering is not happening at Kufunda but Maaianne is part of the organising team and so it felt right to include it here.
This is a 5 day immersion with Orland Bishop, Joan Sleigh, and others hosted in Cape Town.
The intention of this gathering is to open a doorway through which star wisdom may enter our shared understanding. Our vision is to shape new agreements between human beings and the wellsprings of spiritual traditions, so that life may once again be imbued with meaning.
We are creating a ground in which seeds of imagination may be planted, nurtured, and grown into living possibilities for our shared future. We will weave together two powerful legacies: those of Rudolf Steiner and Sanusi VusamaZulu Credo Mutwa. By bringing their teachings into dialogue, we hope to bridge diverse cultural streams on a shared path toward the spirit.
