A Place to hear the hum again

Here is a beautiful short video created by Charles, showing some of the gifts of the Learning Village Gathering held this January. As I watch this small piece, I realise that a big part of what we offer as Kufunda goes far beyond programming - beyond any kind of content in fact.
Kufunda is a place where, with the land and in community, people can gather… and recalibrate.
Delphine, in this piece, speaks about how she had “lost the hum,” and how she knew she had to come into community to hear it again. Her hum.
You might think community would distract you from your own hum. But a community - where each one is humming with their truth, with their frequency - makes something possible. Something becomes possible for each one. And then something becomes possible for all of us - the kind of possibility that only emerges when we are truly at rest in ourselves.
I think of Kufunda as a place of coming home to Self, in community.
A safe harbour where we can each come and land for a moment before going back out into the waves of life.
A place to exhale - even if just for a short while - from the busyness of life.
To truly reconnect with nature.
A place to rest without going to sleep.
Rest not as escape, but as recalibration.
In community. In community.
I am grateful for the space to be growing and deepening. I sense a readiness to offer some of our gifts more widely.
As you will see, there is a lot of dancing in the video. Movement is key to recalibration. It opens the possibility of joy without agenda. As the body finds its own hum — in community.
I look forward to sharing more on that next time.
