A Two-Week Immersion in Community, Land, Purpose and Ubuntu
An Invitation to Pause, Ground & Reconnect
What if you could step out of the rush and into something real?
In a world moving too fast, we are creating space for young people (18–28) to breathe, recalibrate, and remember what matters. This is not a conference. It is a lived experience — two weeks embedded in the rhythms of community life at Kufunda Village, where Ubuntu is not a concept but a daily practice cultivated over 21 years.
Rooted in land, creativity, and shared work, and rising into purpose, voice, and service, this gathering invites young people to experience what it means to belong — to themselves, to one another, and to the wider web of life.
What to Expect
Learn by living. Wake to the sounds of village life. Begin the day with movement and contemplative practices. Share meals cooked together. Work with the land, in the kitchen, on eco-building projects, and in community care. Experience learning that engages body, heart, and mind.
Create and reflect. Participate in creative workshops in art, movement, storytelling, dialogue, and collective inquiry. Meet regularly in small “connect groups” for reflection, support, and integration.
Listen and co-create. Through participatory processes such as Go Deep and the Oasis Game, you will walk the village, listen to its people, sense what is needed, and co-design simple, tangible contributions that support community wellbeing. This is a lived experience of collective listening and hands-on co-creation.
Clarify your purpose. Flow Game sessions and guided reflection spaces support you to explore your life questions, transitions, and next steps, and to articulate what is calling you forward.
Connect across cultures. Meet fellow young people from Zimbabwe, across Africa, and around the world. Build friendships and networks that continue beyond the two weeks.

Reading about the KUFUNDA Youth Conference and the emphasis on empowerment, growth, and community really resonated with me it reminded me of how vital support systems are when you’re navigating demanding academic paths. As a master’s student, I vividly remember those times I was tensed about my exams and online classes, trying to juggle heavy workloads and deadlines while worrying about my grades. In my free time, I have a deep interest in research and writing of any kind whether blog writing, article writing, or academic writing because it helps me reflect, regroup, and find clarity amid pressure. Alongside my studies, I also provide online class assistance under the supervision of The Online Class Help as a part-time effort to hel…
