A delightful return to the art of hosting training at kufunda!

Updated: May 26

We returned to offering the Art of Hosting (the Art of Participatory Leadership) workshop this February. The first one we have done in years as we stopped hosting much after COVID.

It was magnificent! Over 40 practitioners gathered for what was a vibrant, co-creative gathering of 40 community leaders, learners, and facilitators.

Over three days, we stepped into a living classroom of presence, practice, and participation. We learned and unlearned through Appreciative Inquiry, the Four-Fold Practice, World Café, and Open Space, all rooted in the spirit of collective wisdom.

But more than the methods, it was the people who made the magic.

Participants were not just attendees—they became hosts. People stepped forward, many for the first time, to facilitate, to guide, to hold space. Together we explored the question: What time is it in our world right now? And the answers were alive with clarity: It’s time for self-reliance. For collaboration. For community healing and tending. It’s time to remember how to lead together.

From this shared field emerged new projects, renewed purpose, and a deeper sense of possibility. One participant called it “a different world of facilitation.” Another said, “These conversations gave me hope.”

It was more than a training. It was a remembering of our capacity to listen, lead, and act—together.

Here a glimpse at Charles' video reflection of the workshop.

Riding the Future: Market Dynamics and Innovation in the Hoverbikes Industry

The Hoverbikes Market, while still in its nascent stages, represents an exciting frontier in personal aerial mobility, envisioning a future where individuals can traverse distances by hovering above the ground. These innovative vehicles, often resembling flying motorcycles, are being developed with the promise of alleviating urban congestion, providing rapid response capabilities, and offering unique recreational experiences. The concept draws heavily from advancements in drone technology, propulsion systems, and lightweight material science.

Current development efforts are focused on creating functional prototypes and addressing significant engineering challenges related to stability, safety, and power efficiency. Different propulsion methods, including electric multi-rotor systems and jet-powered designs, are being explored to achieve vertical take-off and…
