Welcome to Kufunda Village, a model village and a training centre based on the outskirts of the sunny capital of Harare, Zimbabwe. Our mission is to inspire the co-creation of strong life affirming communities in Zimbabwe and beyond by demonstrating and sharing the necessary ideas, skills and practices that are required for community sustainability.

| Greetings friends and partners. Well we've had a wet start to the year to say the least, but nevertheless we're happy to be back at work at a very grassy and wild looking Kufunda. Looking at our calendar we realize that this will be yet another busy year for the Kufundees. |
| First and foremost in our hearts and minds are our rural community counterparts. How are they doing? What's been working for them and what hasn't? How can we help them in 2008? With these and many more questions in mind we are embarking this year on a new kind of Community Leadership Programme. We are asking up to 4 leaders from each of our partner communities to commit to being in process with us for a full year, during which we will explore notions and ideas around leadership and the needs of the communities at this moment of our history. We envisage a series of workshops throughout the year, held at Kufunda but also within the partner communities so there is a real exchange going on and a consolidation of the network. We welcome one of Kufunda's dearest friends, Toke Moller to help us kick start this programme and he is joined by Akido master Bob Wing on his first visit to Kufunda. |
| In May we will host our very first Art of Learning Centering gathering which will see over 50 people from various Learning Centers around the world coming to Kufunda to share valuable lessons and experiences. In August we will host what promises to be an unforgettable Berkana Parent - Child Learning Journey where groups of adult children will visit with a parent to discover and explore our precious Zimbabwe. |
| Also included in our plans for the year are: Art of Hosting, Lapeng Preschool workshop, what we hope becomes an annual Call to Arts, Vipassana meditation retreat and much more. |
